Dema Arlene Farnham
May 23, 1919 — January 21, 2016
Dema A Farnham 96, of Vero Beach, FL passed away on January21, 2016 at Rose Valley Manor, Vero Beach, FL.
Dema
was born May 23, 1919 in Little Falls, NY the daughter of the late Raymond and Nina Moberg Cook, and received her education at Mohawk School and Utica School of Commerce.
On August 11, 1040 she was united in marriage to Lewis Farnham at the Presbyterian Church in Rome , NY , Lewis passed away in 1990.
Dema was employed as and an account- shipping clerk with Duofold and Remington Rand, retiring several years ago.
Dema was a 50year member of the First Presbyterian Church in Ilion, the American Legion Auxiliary, Mohawk and a member of the Marinus Whillett D.A.R Chapter of Frankfort.
Dema enjoyed making many quilts, wall hangings, and doing embroidery, Knitting, and feeding the wild birds and squirrels.
Dema dearly loved her friends and neighbors on Flower Dr. in Ilion where she lived for several years until she retired to Florida.
Dema is survived by her two sons and a daughter in law James and Suzanne Farnham of Vero Beach FL, and Thomas R. Farnham of Charlotte, NC; two grandsons Jamie and his wife Kelly of Vero Beach and Michael and his wife Cathy of Charlotte; four grandchildren Beth, Brady, Harper and Zoey.
She also leaves a nephew Ken Cook and his family of Mohawk.
She is predeceased by her brother and sister in law Sidney and
Rose Cook.
In keeping with Dema's wishes there are no callings hours. A
private family service will be held at the family plot in the Middleville Cemetery in the spring.
The funeral service will be with the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc. 100 Otsego Street Ilion, In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Herkimer County Humane Society PO Box 73 Mohawk, NY 13407
or the Salvation Army 429 North Prospect Ave, Herkimer, NY 13350 in Demas's memory.
