Audrey Sorenson, 85, passed away Monday, August 29, 2016. She was born December 29, 1920, the daughter of the late Ransom and Katherine (Deyle) Slocum, on November 9, 1949 she was united in marriage with Robert Sorenson he passed away October 27, 1984.
Audrey is survived by two sons and a daughter in law, Robert and Jackie Sorenson of Ilion, Thomas Sorenson of Greensboro, NC, her daughter Deborah Eramo and her companion Rick Valcore of Zephyr Hills, FL, two grandchildren Kelly Eramo, Michael and his wife Heather Eramo; great grandchildren Cassidy, Madison, Michael and Brent . She is also survived by a brother in law and two sisters in law Jim and Kathy Sorenson and Dorothy Slocum all of Ilion. Audrey was predeceased by her brother William Slocum and her sister Patricia Esford.
In keeping with Audrey's wishes there will be no calling hours, friends are invited to attend a graveside service Friday, September 2, 2016 at the Armory Hill Cemetery with Bishop Dan Herzog officiating. Arrangements are with the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home, Inc., 100 Otsego St., Ilion.
Friends are asked to consider memorials to the American Diabetes, 6390 Fly Rd., Suite 2, E. Syracuse, N.Y. 13057 or the American Heart Fund, 120 Lomond Ct., Utica, N.Y. 13502 envelopes are available at the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home and at the cemetery service.
