Barb Kolar

Ilion Barbara B. Kolar 87 of Ilion passed away on Wednesday January 13, 2021 at the Grand in Ilion.
Barb was born on December 1, 1933 in Herkimer, she was the daughter of the late Reginald and Marie (Schrell) Brockway.
She was a graduate of Sauquoit Valley Schools and was an office worker at GLF in Utica until she retired several years ago.
On July 14, 1956 she married John W. Kolar in the Town of Paris.
Barb was a member of the Ilion United Methodist Church and was past president of the UMW.
Barb is survived by a daughter in law Kimberly a brother Frank Brockway of Cassville a sister Janet Hall of MI and a brother in law John Oertle of Morrisville.
She is predeceased by two sons Kevin and Keith and a sister Joan Oertle all in 2019.
In keeping with family wishes there will be a graveside service for John, Barb and Kevin, in the spring, at the Armory Hill Cemetery in Ilion.
Military honors for John will be part of the service.
Arrangements are with the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc. 100 Otsego St. in Ilion.
