Betty Charzuk, 93, of Holland Patent, a retired employee of the Rome Air Development Center at the former Griffiss Air Force Base, Rome, comfortably passed away at home March 30, 2016.
Mrs. Charzuk was born to Edwin and Rose Darvoe Williams in Trenton Falls and attended local schools. Betty married Stephen Charzuk in 1944. Betty and her husband enjoyed skiing at several American and Canadian resorts and were former members of the G.E. Ski Club.
Betty was the mother of four children; grandmother of three and great grandmother of five.
Betty is survived by Stephen, Jr. and his wife Barbara of Rio Verde, AZ; John and his wife Carol, Holland Patent; daughter, Dale Charzuk, Alden, NY and Jim of Trenton Falls. Her surviving grandchildren are Corey and Courtney Charzuk, Mint Hills NC, Joelle and Matthew Perry, Olean, NY, and Jessica and Shawn Cecula, Lewiston, NY.
In accordance with her requests there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be scheduled at the convenience of the family at Forest Hills Cemetery, Utica, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.
