Bridget (Betty) L. Schulz, formerly of 1 West Montgomery Street in Ilion, died at Baylor Medical Center in Irving, Texas, on Wednesday, September 29th, 2010.
Betty was born and educated in Dunbartonshire, Scotland.
Daughter of the late William Paul and Margaret Coyle Brown.
She married the late George G. Schulz on the 21st of July, 1967, in Greenock, Scotland, where he served with the U.S. Navy at the Holy Loch Nuclear Submarine Base in Dunoon Argylshire, Scotland.
She worked as a telephonist, receptionist and bookkeeper in various firms in the Glasgow area, as well as a short career in the WRENS (British military).
She came to this country in 1971 and resided in Ilion where she lived until 2008.
She moved to Irving Texas in July 2008, where she has lived ever since.
She is predeceased by her dear husband, George G. Schulz, who died on the 17th of January, 1994 and also two brothers, Gerrard and William Paul Brown Jr., who resided in Scotland.
She is survived by her dearest and only daughter Wendy Margaret Schulz who resides in Texas, a step-daughter Debora Brooks, who resides in Virginia, and three sisters- Margaret Ferguson, Irene Matthew and Anne Nicholson, several nieces and nephews, all residing in Scotland and England.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday October 8, 2010 at 10:30 am in The Church of the Annunciation in Ilion, Fr. Terence Healy will officiate, and interment will follow in the Armory Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday October 7, from 4-6pm at the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc. 100 Otsego St. in Ilion.
