Beverly Jean Reile

Beverly Jean Bowman Reile, age 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at the Grand Nursing Home in Ilion. Born on May 1, 1943, Beverly was the daughter of the late Ebert and Gladys Thompson Bowman and lived her entire life in Ilion. She graduated from Herkimer High School and was last employed at Jet Photo in Ilion, NY.
A devoted member of St. Augustine Episcopal Church of Ilion, Beverly was known to all as a loving, caring, and generous soul, finding her greatest joy in the company of family and friends. She cherished her moments listening to old country music, tending to her garden, especially her beloved flowers, and indulging in her passion for crocheting.
Beverly is survived by her beloved husband, Ronald; two sons, Ronald Reile Jr. and his wife Molly of Ilion, and Jeffrey Riele of Herkimer; sister-in-law Barbara Bowman and her husband Lou of Wisconsin; Pat Reile of Utica; Valerie Duncan and her husband Gordon of Herkimer; brothers-in-law Mitch Reile and his wife Karen of Schuyler, and J.C. Reile and his wife Roberta of Florida; Several nieces and nephews that she loved very much.
She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her siblings Geraldine Bowman Garlock, Pearl Guile, and Ebert Bowman.At this time, there will be no funeral services. Instead, a Celebration of Life will be held later at the convenience of her family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Beverly's name to the St. Augustine Episcopal Church in Ilion.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home, located at 100 Otsego St. in Ilion, NY 13357.
