Brenda Cudhea, 76, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017 at the Folts Home, Herkimer. She was born in Tupper Lake on February 23, 1940, the daughter of the late William and Anne Lester Cudhea, her family moved to Ilion in 1941 where she attended Annunciation School and graduated from Ilion High School. Brenda received her AA from Maria College, Albany, her BE in Education from the College of St. Rose in Albany and her MS in Education at the University Albany, she also received a certification in Physical Education at Russell Sage in Troy.
Brenda taught school at various locations in the Albany area, returning to Ilion 1987, where she took a position as Social Worker with Mohawk Valley Nursing Home until retiring. After retirement she worked part time at Kwik Kut in Mohawk.
Brenda is survived by her brother and sister in law Anthony and Shirley Cudhea of Ilion, her nephews, Jordy, Anthony and nieces Madison and Charlee and Carson. She was predeceased by her brother Michael and her sister Sister Renee Cudhea, RSM (Sharon)
In keeping with Brenda's wishes her remains were donated Upstate Medical, Syracuse. A Memorial Mass will be at the convienience of the family at the Church of The Annunciation, Ilion. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery with her parents.
Friends are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Annunciation Church.
