Carol I. Mack, 69, of 280 North Columbia Rd. passed away on Sunday July 15, 2012 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, after a courageous 6 year battle with cancer.
Carol was born on April 2, 1943 in Utica, the daughter of the late Albert and Eva (Madaras) Edick.
She was a 1961 graduate of Mohawk and worked with her husband at several family businesses, especially the family farm.
On May 30 1964 she was united in marriage to William Mack at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Frankfort.
Carol was a member of the NFO.
She enjoyed Shopping and craft fairs as well as traveling with her friends and family, but above all Carol loved being a mother and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband William; a daughter Sandra and her husband Gary Wadsworth of Ilion and their daughter Alyssa; an uncle Frank and his wife Eleanor Madaras of Richfield; a sister and brother in law Margaret and Robert McCaw as well as several cousins.
Carol also leaves her very special friends who were with her throughout; Betty and Ed Lynch and Ellen and Robert Culver.
She is predeceased by a son Brian in 1967.
Funeral services for Carol will be held on Friday July 20, 2012 at 10:00 am at the North Columbia Community Church on Elizabethtown Rd. in Ilion.
Rev. Hans Drews will officiate and interment will follow in the Mt. Oliviet Cemetery in Frankfort.
Friends may call on Thursday July 19, 2012 from 4-8pm at the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc., 100 Otsego St. in Ilion.
Memorial donations in Carol's name may be made to the North Columbia Community Church; envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Carol's family wish to thank all of the special care givers, especially Charlene Agne and Dr. Ulahannan and the special folks in the 3rd floor oncology unit at St. Elizabeth's.
