Ilion - Mrs. Christi-ann (Romano) Stephens, 75, of Ilion, passed away Friday, November 25, 2022 in St. Luke's Hospital with her family by her side.
She was born in Mt. Kisco, NY on July 11, 1947, the daughter of the late Tony and Barbara Lawson Romano. She was married to Lester Stephens on February 11, 1967 in Armonk, NY, a blessed union of 55 years. Christi-ann was employed as a Baker with P & C for many years. She was a bowler for the Masonic League and Tuesday Morning Coffee bowling league. She was well known by family and friends for her baking and arts and crafts.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Lester; two sons and daughters in law, Michael Stephens and his wife, Melinda of Oklahoma and Jeremy Stephens and his wife, Katie of Frankfort; one brother, Peter Romano of Florida; one sister, Michelle Eliott of New Jersey; her grandchildren, James Stephens, Riley Stephens, Henry Stephens, Trista Stephens, Ayden Stephens, Shadow Stephens and Christopher Burnett. She was predeceased by one son, Christopher Stephens and a brother, Michael Romano.
A heartfelt thank you to ILION FD for their prompt response and top of the line medical treatment, St Lukes ER, ICU, and 6th floor for all of their compassion and excellent treatment.
Her funeral will be held Friday, December 2, 2022 at 12:00 PM from the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home, 100 Otsego St. in Ilion. Interment will follow in Armory Hill Cemetery in Ilion. Calling hours will be held Friday, December 2nd from 10:00 AM until the time of services in the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Christi-ann's memory may be made to Mohawk Valley Challengers Special Needs Football, 2916 State Route 168, Mohawk, NY 13407.
