Clydia C. Fletcher, 85, also known as "Nana" to many children, has passed into the Arms of our Lord on May 4, 2014 at St. Lukes Hospital with her family by her side. Clydia was a resident of Ilion, for many years.
Clydia was born on May 5, 1928 in Malone, NY the daughter of the late Peter and Cecelia Tebo Hosler, and received her education in the Saranac Lake school system.
On July 13, 1947 Cydia was united in marriage to Benjamin L. Fletcher in Saranac Lake, NY, Ben passed away May 19, 1996. She was employed at the Mohawk Valley General Hospital in Ilion for many years working in the Housekeeping Dept.
Clydia had a million dollar smile, whenever you saw her, she had a smile, she never complained.
She was the best mom anyone could ask for.
She loved everyone, and everyone loved her.
Clydia attended the Mohawk Reformed Church.
Clydia is survived by two sons and a daughter
in law Benjamin (Thomas) Fletcher of Winter Garden, Fl and John and Bonnie Fletcher of Livingston, TX, a daughter and son in law Betty and Gene Johnson of Utica, NY, a brother Leslie Hosler of Ilion, NY, three sisters and a brothers in law Pearl and Donald Brewster of Vermontville, NY, Janet and Allen Bloom of FL, and Donna and Dennis Salls of Bloomingdale, NY, four grandchildren John Gregory Fletcher, Tracy Main, Tricia Fletcher and Amanda Fletcher, her great grand children Jacob and Chase Fletcher, and John Charles Main, also several nieces and nephews.
Clydia was predeceased by a grand daughter Jennifer Johnson, three brothers Richard, Floyd and Gifford Hosler and her sister Agnes Blaise.
Friends are invited to attend funeral services for Clydia to be held on Saturday May 10, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc. 100 Otsego Street, Ilion, with Rev. Brian Engle officiating, interment will follow in the Mohawk Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
