Ilion - Mr. Edward E. Ogalo, 74, of Ilion passed away unexpectedly ay home on Sunday, July 24, 2022 with his beloved wife and son by his side.
He was born in Kenya on January 19, 1948, the son of the late George and Susan Ogalo. He was married to Risper Awuor in 1978 in Nairobi, Kenya. They came to the United States where Edward attended Herkimer County Community College. Edward was employed as a Laborer for New York State until his passing and he was a music lover.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Risper of Ilion; his son, George, also of Ilion; two brothers, Alfred Ogalo of Utica and Charles Ogalo of Kenya; and one sister, Winnie Mitoko of Kenya. He was predeceased by his parents and several siblings.
Funeral arrangmenets are under the direction of the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc. 100 Otsego Street, Ilion and will be held privately at the convenience of his family.
