Elizabeth J, (Betty) Johnson, 90, passed away Friday, January 21, 2011 at the Folts Home, Herkimer.
Betty was born in Ilion on November 6, 1920, the daughter of the late Laverne and Myrtle Hattie Jones Smith, she attended Ilion High School and on August 8, 1948, she was united in marriage with Joseph A. Johnson, he passed away on October 18, 2008.
Betty is survived by 2 daughters and a son in law, Marilyn Johnson of Dunedon, Fl. and Marcia and Rich Hoffman of
Woodbridge, Va., a sister Gertrude Ecker also of the Folts Home, 2 grandchildren Christopher and Kaitlyn , 2 great grandchildren Joseph and Hailey and several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Betty's and Joe's wishes a graveside service will be held in Armory Hill Cemetery for both of them at a time to be announced.
Friends are asked to consider memorials to one's favorite charity.
Arrangements are with the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home, Inc., 100 Otsego St., Ilion.
