Forrest H. Smith, 77, of Colonial Circle in Ilion passed away on Sunday April 17, 2011 at Mohawk Valley Health Care Center in Ilion.
Forrest was born on February 13, 1934 in Walton, NY the son of the late Andrew and Ruth (Northrup) Smith.
He was educated in Walton and was a farm worker throughout his life.
Forrest is survived by his wife Mary of Ilion; a step son and his family Richard Deming of Ilion; two sisters Jeanne Schmitz and JoAnn Kunk both of Florida; a brother Al Smith of MO, he also leaves one daughter and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Wednesday April 20, 2011 from 4-5 pm at the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc. 100 Otsego St. in Ilion.
In keeping with Forrest's wishes funeral services will be private.
