Francis E. Dineen

Ilion - Mr. Francis "Frank" Edward Dineen, 89, of Ilion, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2022 at The Foltsbrook Center in Herkimer with his family by his side.
He was born in Glendale, New York on October 15, 1932, the son of the late William and Edna Dingivan Dineen. He attended Tupper Lake Schools and Holy Ghost Academy. Following High School, he entered the US Army. He was employed with Bendix and Lucas Aerospace in Utica as a Tool Room Leader. He was married to Erma Ryan in March of 1956.
Frank is survived by his beloved wife, Erma; his children, Kathy and her husband, Kevin McKinney of Syracuse, Michael Dineen and his wife, Dorothy of Mexico, NY, Daniel Dineen and his wife, Deborah of Cortland, Linda Everson of Ilion, Jennifer Price of Johnstown and Jeffrey Dineen and his wife, Patti of Lafayette; one brother, Thomas Dineen of Utica; grandchildren, Jason (Alyssa) Hight, Kevin (Abigail) Hight, Ian Dineen, Harrison Dineen, Danielle (Joe) Dineen, Kelly Dineen, Michael Dineen, Matthew Everson, Jessica Everson, Sean Price, Tyler Price and Kaitlyn Price and several great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by one son, Frank Dineen, Jr; his siblings, William Dineen, Mary Mase, Margaret Haile, Lillian Baker, Alice Dechane, Eleanore Baker and Marion McKenna.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2022 from 4-7 PM in the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home, 100 Otsego St. in Ilion. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at 10:30 AM in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, 412 S. Frankfort St. in Frankfort with Father Paul Catena, officiating. Interment will follow in Armory Hill Cemetery in Ilion.
Contributions in Frank's memory may be made to Foltsbrook Center, 104 N. Washington St. Herkimer, NY 13350. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
