Virginia Beach James Douglass Barnett III, 35, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2017, at his home in Virginia Beach, VA.
James was born on February 1, 1981 in Monterey, CA to James Barnett and Charlene (Lennon) Richardson.
James grew up in Mohawk, NY.
He graduated from Jarvis High School in 2000.
After high school, James attended SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Utica-Rome, NY and then began working for Booz-Allen Hamilton. James was a charismatic man who had a great sense of humor.
He loved life and everything that life offered him.
James was fun-loving; he enjoyed listening to music, attending concerts (especially Phish shows), playing strategy and video games, and being with his many friends. James was predeceased in death by his step-mother, Victoria Barnett and his paternal grandparents James and Jacqueline Barnett. James is survived by his mother, Charlene Richardson and her fianc Don Phillips of Hubbardsville, NY; his father James Barnett Jr. and his girlfriend Donna Mosher of Virginia Beach, VA; his sister Kamica Duesler and brother-in-law Anthony Duesler of Columbia, SC; his sister Desiree Tubia and brother-in-law Maison Scahill of Rochester, NY; his brother Caleb Tubia and sister-in-law Brooke Benson-Tubia of Ilion, NY; his brother Nathan Porter of Fulton, NY; his maternal grandparents Robert and Elfriede Lennon, his aunts, Leanne Wiars and husband Eric Wiars; Sheila Fenton; cousins Kalee Clark, Kelsey Fenton, Alec Fenton, and loving nieces, nephews, and numerous friends. A celebration of James' life will take place on Saturday, February 4, 2017, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, at the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home located at 100 Otsego St. Ilion, NY. In lieu of flowers friends wishing to do so may send memorial contributions in Jim's memory to his mother Charlene Richardson, P.O. Box 701, Hubbardsville, N.Y. 13355.
