James W. 'Jim' Forbes
July 30, 1954 — August 16, 2020
Ilion James W. Forbes, 66 of Ilion, passed away on Sunday august 16, 2020 at the VA Medical Center in Syracuse with his daughter Nicole by his side.
Jim was born on July 30, 1954 in Mohawk, the son of the late Charles "Whitey" and Shirley (Streeter) Forbes.
He was a graduate of Mohawk Schools and a pretty decent football player, following high school Jim served in the US Army from 1974-77.
He was a self-employed contractor for several years until retiring. Jim enjoyed bowling and impersonating Elvis & loved his best friend and canine companion Bell.
Jim is survived by a son Matthew Forbes and his girlfriend Briana Brindisi, a daughter Nicole Forbes and her fianc Tyler Conners. Five grandchildren Nicole's children Julian, Jace, Olivia, Ayden and Avalee. A brother Dan and his wife Sue Forbes of Mohawk and his sister Nancy and her husband Dennis Baker of Ilion. Along with many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his twin sister Jamie Baum and his brother Tim Forbes who passed away on Sunday as well.
