James T. Watts 90 of 204 Forge Hill Estates passed away suddenly on Monday July 7, 2014 at St. Luke's Medical Center, New Hartford.
Jim was born on December 16, 1923 in Saint-Lambert, Quebec Canada the son of the late Ernest and Lily Kell Watts.
Jim
received his education in the Quebec School System.
Jim was united in marriage to the mother of
his children, Audrey Brown on September 29, 1945 in Farnham, Ontario, Audrey passed away on January 9, 2000.
Jim was then married to the former Gloria Primmar Weller on August 11, 2001 in Ilion. Jim was employed with Salada and Tetley Tea as a tea taster, retiring several years ago.
Jim was a Life Member of the Black Watch (RHR) of Canada Sergeants' Mess, Life Member of the Black Watch (RHR) Association of Montreal and a member of Laurentide Lodge #126 of St. Laurent, A.F. & A.M., F.L.Q.
Jim is survived by his wife Gloria, his sons and daughters in law Craig S. and Debra Watts of Montreal West, and Ryan J and Lynne Watts of Downingtown, PA, a sister Nellie Williams, several nieces and nephews,
his grandchildren Quinn, Alyssa, Kyra and Lauryn. Jim's step children Todd and Carole Weller of Saratoga, NY, Pamela and David Lawrence of Ilion, and Pricilla and Michael LeMay of Ilion , his step grandchildren Matthew and Calin Lawrence and their son Aidan, Timothy Lawrence, Rebecca Weller, Matt and Kathryn Zembo and their two children Ella and Alexander. Jim was predeceased by his four sisters Agnes Smith, Ethel Cunningham, Ada Bailey, Jenny Saunders and two brothers William C. Watts, and Charles R. Watts.
Friends are invited to attend calling hours and a funeral service for Jim to be held on Wednesday July 9, 2014 at 6:00 PM from the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc. 100 Otsego Street, Ilion with Dr. Rev. Andrew Peloubet officiating. Friends may call from 5:00 to 6:00 PM on Wednesday July 9, 2014 at the funeral home.
Visitation will be then held at the Montreal Memorial Park Cemetery on Metropolitan Blvd. and St Croix in St. Laurent Canada on Friday July 11, 2014 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM with the funeral following.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to the First Baptist Church of Ilion.
