James 'Jim' Loce

James Loce, 57 of Mohawk, passed away on Monday January 18, 2016 at the Seigenthaler Center in New Hartford.
Jim was born on July 9, 1958 in Herkimer and was a graduate of Mohawk Schools.
His life centered on motorcycles, getting his first one at age 19.
Over the years he received several trophies and appeared in several magazine articles regarding bikes.
He continued riding until his illness prevented him from doing what he loved.
Jim is survived by his mother Joan and her husband Ronald Schorer Sr. of Mohawk; five children Jeffery DePasquale, Andrew Reynolds, Heather Lerch, Savannah Lockwood and Jordan Loce; as well as thirteen grandchildren.
He is predeceased by a brother Duane in 1979 and step brother Ron Schorer Jr. in 2014.
Jim was a member of the Highwaymen Motorcycle Club for over 10 years and is survived by the many members who are his extended family.
Funeral services for Jim will be held on Friday January 22, 2016 at 6pm at the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc. 100 Otsego St. in Ilion.
Friends may call on Friday from 4pm until the time of the funeral.
Jim's family wishes to thank Hospice and Palliative Care, especially Ann, for the wonderful care given to him during his illness.
