Jane L. Kamp, 81, of 1381 St. Rt. 168, Mohawk passed away November 12, 2012 in Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown.
Jane was born May 19, 1931 in Lewistown, MO. the daughter of the late John and Mary Fanny Bronson and received her education in Lewistown Schools.
Jane was united in marriage to William Kamp in Phoenix, AZ; he passed September 8, 1999.
Jane worked it the cafeteria at Marcy State Hospital, retiring several years ago.
Jane was very active in the Marine Corp League Auxiliary. and the Ilion VFW Post 501 Auxiliary, holding the office of
President as well as several other offices in both of the organizations.
It was Jane's nature to help anyone who needed a helping hand, her love for her family showed in her cooking, she could make the best pies and S.O.S of anyone around.
Jane loved to garden, play cards and spend her time at camp with her family
Jane is survived by her children Melvin Kamp of California, Kevin and Corrine Kamp of Ilion, Mary Kamp of Mohawk and Scott Kamp and Shelia Femia of Ilion, her grandchildren Tyler Kamp, Anthony Kamp, Brian and Tara walker, Sara and Adam Congdon, Scott Kamp, Greg and Nicole Steenburg, Jon Ragantesi and April and Gerald Kamp also Two great grandchildren Alex and Emma Condon. She was predeceased by three children Karl, Terry and Kerry Kamp.
Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Jane's life with her family to be held on Saturday, November 17, 2012 from 3:00 - 6:00 PM at the Ilion Marine Corp. League Second Street Ilion.
Friends are asked to consider memorials to the Ilion Marine Corp League in Jane's memory.
Envelopes will be available at the Marine Corp. League.
