Janet Elizabeth Kelly

Frankfort - Janet E. Kelly, of Frankfort, passed away peacefully at the age of 80 on February 21, 2024 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown. Surrounded by her loving family, she embarked on her final journey, leaving behind cherished memories and a profound legacy.
Janet was born on May 3, 1943 in Frankfort, to the late Howard and Thelma Cushman Elthrope. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Joyce Irons, whose memory she held dear.
Janet is survived by her devoted sons, Patrick Kelly, and his wife, Cindy Kelly, and Michael Kelly who were her constant source of love and support. She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Amber Delmedico, and her husband, Mark Delmedico, and Gene Michael Matteson, and his wife, Bella Matteson with whom she shared many joyful moments. Janet was blessed to know her great-grandchildren, Autumn Kelly, Winter Delmedico, and Niko Delmedico and Maximus Matteson, who brought immeasurable joy into her life.
In keeping with Janet's wishes, there will be no public services. Arrangements are under the direction of the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home, 100 Otsego St. in Ilion.
Janet will be deeply missed but fondly remembered as a shining beacon of love and light in the hearts of all who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace.
