Jean Spencer, 61, of 97 John Street Ilion passed away Thursday July 26, 2012 at MIB Hospital, Cooperstown.
Jean was born July 7, 1951 in Dylewo, Poland the daughter of Zymunt and Zofia (Panus) Jaworski. Jean received her education in Poland Schools and received an Associate's Degree from Mohawk Valley Community College.
On February 14, 1975 Jean was united in marriage to Louis Spencer with Msgr. Dente officiating.
Jean was a receptionist with Dr. Joseph Congilaro's office in Mohawk for several years.
She also worked at K-Mart in Herkimer. Jean was a member of the Church of the Annunciation in Ilion.
She is survived by her husband Louis of Ilion, a son and daughter in law Josef and Jennifer Spencer of Walton, NY; a daughter Halinka Spencer of Rochester, NY; her parents Zymunt and Zofia Jaworski of Poland, two brothers and sisters in law Marian and Zofia Jaworski of Poland, and Henryk and Lucina Jaworski of Poland; two sisters and brothers in law Terusa and Wiadk Grabowska and Basia and Kazimierz Lenda both of Poland. Also several; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends are invited to attend funeral services for Jean to be held on Wednesday August 1, 2012 at 10:30 am from the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc. 100 Otsego Street Ilion, with Deacon James Bower officiating, interment will follow in the Mt. View Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Tn. of Little Falls. Friends may call on Tuesday July 31, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Friends are asked to consider memorials to the Bassett Cancer Center in Jean's memory.
Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
