At some point, he met Barbara Jane LaRose of Malone, NY on a blind date, they were married on August 4, 1956 and the rest was history!

John (Jack) was a long standing member of the Ilion Elks Lodge #1444, and a Boy Scout Leader for many years. He was a communicant and active member of the Church of the Annunciation in Ilion, NY and of Our Lady of the Snows in Otter Lake, NY. But mostly, he was a loving and supportive father and grandfather. Family was the most important thing to him. His older grandchildren will remember him for his creative way of ending grace before a meal... "Rub-A-Dub-Dub, thanks for the grub" ... You will be greatly missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at the Church of the Annunciation, 50 West Street in Ilion at 10:30am, with Father Paul Catena officiating.
