Ilion - Joseph R. Sassone Jr. 67, of Ilion passed away, October 5, 2022.
Born February 21, 1955 to the late Joseph and Gwendalyn "Audrey" Sassone Sr. Joe was an avid blacktopper all of his adult life working with many different companies including Chuck Humpreville paving, Central Paving, and Deans Paving. Joe enjoyed time with his family and his grandchildren.
Joe is survived by his children,
Joseph Sassone III, David (Ruth) Bennett, Daniel Bennett, and Jessica Fitsimmons; brother, Rob Bouck and fianc Joanne Smith his sisters Carol (John) Natarelli, Pat (Dave) Lennox and a half sister Phyllis, his daughter in law, Julie Wildey; 7 grandchildren, Alexis (Daniel) Hayes of Herkimer, Ian Everson of Herkimer, Mercedes, Isabella, Margaret, Joseph, and James Sassone, all of Ilion; 2 Great Granddaughters, Veleria and Adalynn. Joe is predeceased by his father, Joseph Sassone Sr. his mother, Audrey Sassone and his brother, Phillip Sassone.
