Joyce M. Burling, 90, of Ilion, New York, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Valley Health Services.
Joyce was born on November 22, 1927 in East Pembroke, NY.
She was the daughter of the late Glenn B. and Vivian O (Esterbrooks) Crane. She was a graduate of Batavia schools and HCCC with a degree in Business. Joyce was self-employed as a beautician and tailor before retiring. She loved sewing, crocheting, reading and traveling with her friends.
Left to cherish Joyce's memory are her sons, Daniel Burling and wife Jeannie of Warsaw, NY, James Burling and wife Janice of Ilion, NY, Marc Burling of Ilion, NY, and her daughter Denise O'Toole and husband Daniel O'Toole of New Hartford, NY.
Joyce was predeceased by her son Richard Burling.
The family would like to thank Valley Health Services and their staff as well as Hospice and Palliative Care for all their love and support and a special thanks to mom's life-long friend Georgette, for her love and always being there when mom needed her.
In keeping with Joyce's wishes, there will be no calling hours, however a Celebration of Life will be held at a future date and time. Arrangements are with the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc., 100 Otsego Street, Ilion, NY.
