Ilion - Mrs. Joyce (Lints) Burnside, 93, of Ilion passed away Monday, July 31, 2023 in Valley Health Services with her family by her side.
Joyce was born in Frankfort on August 14, 1929, the daughter of the late Wesley and Margaret Lints. Joyce attended Frankfort Schools and graduated with the class of 1946. She was married to Jonas Burnside on September 2, 1950. She was employed as a Machinist with Remington Arms Co. in Ilion for many years until her retirement.
She is survived by one daughter and son in law, Linda (Burnside) and her husband, David Doty of Clay, NY; her grandchildren, Kristen (Doty) Marino and her husband, Brian, David Doty, Jr., Travis Doty and his wife, Nicole, Stacy (Burnside) and her husband, Rich Meadows, Donald J. Burnside, Jr. and Sara (Burnside) and her husband, Rob Peck; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Mia, Madilyn, Mischelle, Taylor, Kendall, Trevor, Gavin, Xavier, Amelia, Christopher and his wife, Nolita, Jeremiah Mckown and Lynn Peck; and her great-great-grandchildren, Lance and Ryann.
She was predeceased by one son, Donald J. Burnside.
In keeping with Joyce's wishes, there will be no public services. Arrangements are under the direction of the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc. 100 Otsego Street, Ilion, NY 13357.
