Venice, FL - Charlton, NY - June M. McLoughlin, 90, of Venice, FL, formerly of Charlton, NY, passed away peacefully in Tidewell Hospice on July 8, 2023.
June was born in South Portland, Maine on June 3, 1933, the daughter of Bernhard Odencrantz and Mary Griffin.
She was the oldest of 8 siblings. On April 30, 1955 she was married to Charles T. McLoughlin.
Together, they had three children, whom they raised in Burnt Hills, NY. They also have five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren who may be scattered across the globe, but modern technology kept them all together.
Her family includes, Kathy and Kenji Yamane of Nara, Japan, Debra and Paul Rauch of Nokomis, FL and Timothy McLoughlin of Mesa, AZ; Midori and Xavier Marchan and their son, Noah of London, UK, Heather Rauch and Jimmy LaValla and their daughter, Indigo of Ilion, NY, Naoki and Yalin Yamane and their children, Reina and Fuma of Tokyo, Japan and Shawn Rauch of Sarasota, FL. Her surviving siblings are a brother, Edward, sister, Susan and close sister Jean (Michael) Oliver.
She was predeceased by her parents, several siblings, and her beloved granddaughter, Meagan McLoughlin.
Services for June will be held privately at Sarasota National Cemetery when her family can all be together in August.
