Linda Foley, 71, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at St, Elizabeth's Medical Center, Utica, She was born January 10, 1947 in Ilion the daughter of the late Stanley and Elizabeth DeMars Rasmussen. She was educated in Mohawk and on July 31, 1976 was united in marriage with Bruce A. Foley, he passed away on May 20, 2012.
Linda was a full time mom and wife while also working as a CNA at Mohawk Valley General Hospital. She was the best wife, mother and grandmother anyone could have and was blessed with a tremendous sense of humor which no one was immune from. If you met her you sure would remember her. She was also like a mother to many other than her own.
Linda was a strong supporter of veterans and an advocate for the DAV.
Linda is survived by her family, daughters Diana Learned of Ilion, Robin St Thomas of Ilion, Mary and husband James Beach of Ilion, Tammy Smith of Ilion, Tammy Ingraham of Troy, Kristen and Donald Manley of FL,
sons Eric and his wife Lisa Hurley Of SC and son Michael and his wife Renee Eshbaugh of VA. She is also survived by her sisters, Edye and Cliff Wilson of FL, Mary Hamilton of NC and Barbara and husband Freddie Treen of Ilion along with her Grandchildren and great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother and sister Stanley (Sonny) Rasmussen and Anna Helmer.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 6:00 PM from the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home, Inc., 100 Otsego St., Ilion. Friends may call Thursday from 3-6 PM at the funeral home.
Friends are asked to consider memorial to the CNY Veterans Outreach Center, 726 Washington St. Utica, NY 13502
