Lucius M. Hardy, 80, of Willowby Hills Apts., Newport, passed away Tuesday May 17, 2011 at his home
He was born April 15, 1931 in Jordanville NY the son of the late Donald and Lela Hardy, and was educated in Van Hornesville schools.
Mr. Hardy was an electrical technician with UNIVAC for 25 years.
After his retirement he did small appliances repairs, and was a welder and fabricator with Homogenous Metals in Herkimer.
Lucius is survived by two sons
Lyndon of Ilion, Larry of Bushnell FL, three daughters Lisha Madison of Ft Leonard Wood, Missouri, Laticia Hardy of Washington NH, and Lonnie Hardy of Ilion. Seventeen grand children and 20 great grand children.
He was predeceased by a son Lysle Hardy in 1968, and two brothers Stanley and Spencer.
Memorial services for Mr. Hardy will be held on Monday May 23, 2011 at 11:30 AM from the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc., 100 Otsego Street, Ilion, with Rev. Dr. Andrew Peloubet officiating, interment will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Poland .
Friends may call on Sunday May 22, 2011 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at the funeral home.
