Lyle W. Seelbach

Lyle W. Seelbach, 70, of 1178 Jordanville Rd. passed away on Saturday August 22, 2009 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center.
Lyle was born on April 15, 1939 in Ilion the son of the late Harold G. and Elizabeth (Clark) Seelbach.
He was educated in Ilion Schools and was employed as an electrician with Remington Arms Co. until retiring 3 years ago.
Following his retirement from the Arms Lyle drove bus for the Mount Markham Schools.
On April 4, 1959 he married the former Flossie Congdon in Herkimer.
Lyle was a member of the Columbia Center Methodist Church.
He was a very active member and past Governor of the Ilion Moose Lodge #1010.
He was also a member of Ilion Elks Lodge #1444.
Lyle enjoyed time with his family at camp riding four wheelers and hunting.
Lyle is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Flossie, a son and daughter in law Lyle II and Pratoom Seelbach of Richfield Springs, two daughters and sons in law Sandra and Donald Smithson of West Winfield and Rhonda and Dan Archer of Richfield Springs.
He also leaves one brother and sister in law Robert and Rosalie Seelbach of Wisconsin, four sisters and a brother in law Marjorie Turner of Rome, Eileen Price of Odesa, Dorothy Suits of Herkimer and Linda and Donald Polley of Ilion, as well as several grandchildren
and 3 great grand children.
Funeral service for Lyle will be held on Tuesday August 25, 2009 at 1pm from the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc. 100 Otsego St. in Ilion.
Pastor Hans Drews will officiate and interment will follow in the Oak View Cemetery in Frankfort.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 11 am until the time of the funeral and are asked to consider memorial donations to Lyle's family, envelops are available at the funeral home.
