Ilion - Herkimer - Marie H. Becker, of Herkimer, passed away peacefully in Valley Health Services in Herkimer on Monday, September 2, 2025, at the age of 99.
Marie was born in Ilion, on March 21st, 1926, to the late Earl and Hazel Bunce Renodin and was a graduate of Ilion Schools. Marie was married to the love of her life, the late Volney Becker, with whom she shared many beautiful years until his passing in 2018. As a dedicated employee at Duofold in Mohawk, Marie found joy and pride in her work in fabrication. Throughout her career, she earned the admiration and respect of her colleagues with her commitment and work ethic. She had a great love for flowers and won awards for the beautiful flowers at her home.
Marie leaves to mourn her passing her many dear cousins, who held a special place in her heart. They will forever cherish the precious memories and the profound impact she left on their lives.
She was predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law Richard and Marion Morton.
A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 11am in Oak Hill Cemetery. Arrangements for Marie have been entrusted to Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home. There will be no public calling hours.
