Marie Swift, 67, of Utica passed away on Tuesday December 16, 2014, after a brief illness, at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Utica.
Marie was born on August 4, 1947 in Utica; she was the daughter of the late George and Jemelia (Abraham) Alam.
She was a graduate of Utica schools.
She work for a time at K Mart in New Hartford and for the last 18 years has worked as a Senior Analyst for Bank of America in Utica.
Marie loved traveling to Atlantic City with her friends but most of all she enjoyed her time with her grandchildren.
Marie is survived by her sons John of Bradenton FL. and Darrel and Valerie of Utica; a daughter in law Kimberly Swift of Bradenton FL; a close friend Cathy Inman; her five grandchildren Shalayne Luckina, Jeanna Swift, Jonathan Swift, Aryiana Swift and Darrell Swift III.
She is predeceased by her brother Buddy and sister Johanna Cieslak.
A memorial Mass for Marie will be held on Saturday December 20, 2014 at 11am at St. Louis Gonzaga Church in Utica with Fr. John Faris officiating.
Marie's family will receive friends at church following the Mass.
Arrangements are with the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc. 100 Otsego St. in Ilion.
