HERKIMER - Mary Beth Gallogly, 57, a resident of Valley Health Services, formerly of Galinsky Apartments, went home to be with her Lord Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, at Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown.

She was in the U.S. Army and received a medical discharge. She worked at Duofold and other area businesses.
Mary was an extraordinary aunt, introducing her nieces and nephews to great music and movies and she was known for writing parodies for family occasions and other events. She was a member of the New Life Singers, a contemporary Christian singing group made up of family members and friends. She was a gifted writer and poet and laughed about being a chocoholic. Mary was an avid Yankee fan, had a knack for trivia and was known for her wit. Those who knew her remember her positive attitude amid her personal struggles.

Waldron, of California, Gail and Paul Whittaker, of Mohawk, Diane and Roger Dygert, of Durhamville, Chip and Shelia Gallogly, of Oneida, Robert and Robin Gallogly, of Poland, and Douglas and Jackie Gallogly, of Fort Myers, Fla.; her grandmother, Jean Thompson, of Mohawk; aunts, uncles and cousins; and many nieces and nephews, each one of them special to her; and her aunt and best friend, Pamela Thompson.
She was predeceased by her father; an aunt Betty Jones and her close friends, Ray Rickard and Linda Begley.
