Mary Hagopian

Utica- Mrs. Mary F. (Putch) Hagopian, age 94 of Acacia Village, Utica, passed away on Tuesday morning, December 19, 2023 with her family in her heart. Her passing occurred at the Masonic Care Health Pavilion following a brief illness.
Mary was born on April 18, 1929 in Frankfort, NY. She was the daughter of the late Dominick and Myrtle Putch of Ilion. She received her education in Ilion Schools and was a graduate of Ilion High School, class of 1946. Following high school, Mary moved to Cranston, RI for 25 years and then to Belmont, MA, where she met and married the love of her life, Jacob "Jack" Hagopian. The couple shared a blessed union with summers spent in Dennisport, MA and winters in Naples, FL. She remained in Belmont until Jack's passing in 2008. Mary has lived at Acacia Village since leaving New England.
Mary is survived by her brothers, Dominick "Jake" and Richard (Jean) Putch and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Mary's family will receive relatives and friends at the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home, 100 Otsego St. in Ilion on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, from 2-4 PM.Interment will take place at Mount Auburn Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Jack at the convenience of her family.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL. 33607. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
