Mary C. Seymour, 100, of Barringer Road, Ilion passed away Monday October 21, 2013 at Valley Health Services in Herkimer.

Mary was born March 16, 1913 in Ilion the daughter of the late Fredrick and Leona Butler Kaune, she received her education in the Ilion Schools and attended the Philadelphia General Hospital School of Nursing.
On September 2, 1933 Mary was united in marriage to Kenneth Seymour in Utica, a happy union of 70 years until his passing on November 11, 2003.

Mary was employed with Herkimer County DSS as a bookkeeper, retiring several years ago.

Mary was a member of St. Augustine's Episcopal Church in Ilion, member and past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star in Frankfort, an avid bowler and enjoyed playing golf and bridge on the computer.

Mary is survived by her son John of
Ilion, two daughters and sons in law Loraine and Robert Loomis of
Frankfort and Mary and Arthur
Hornett of New Hartford, a daughter in law Ann Seymour of Ilion,
two sons in law Dr. Jack Campisi and Earl Fletcher, also several grandchildren , great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by a son Kenneth Jr., two daughters Connie Fletcher and Beverly Campisi, her brother Frederick Kaune and four grandsons Kenneth Fletcher, Michael Loomis, Jimmy Loomis, and John Campisi.

Funeral services for Mary will be held on Friday October 25, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the St. Augustine's Episcopal Church, Second Street, Ilion with Fr. John Bassett officiating, interment will follow in the Oak View Cemetery. Frankfort.
In keeping with Mary's wishes there are no calling hours.

Friends are asked to consider memorials to St. Augustine's Church in Mary's memory.
Envelopes will be available at church or the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc., 100 Otsego Street Ilion.

The family would like to thank the staff of Valley Health Services for all the care and compassion given to Mary during her short stay there, also thank you to Dr. Gregory Markwart and his staff at Slocum Dickson Medical Center in Ilion, and Dr. Francis Eye Care for all the kindness given to Mary.
