Herkimer - Christine Ann Roe, 39, lovingly known by her students as "Miss Chris", passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 29th, 2025 at the Wynn Hospital in Utica.
She was born on July 21st, 1985, in Brooklyn, New York, a daughter of Kathleen Campisi and the late Warren Campisi and she was educated in Brooklyn schools. Christine developed a passion for children and education early in life, leading her to a fulfilling career as a Teacher's Aide. She dedicated the last seven years to nurturing young minds at St. Francis DeSales Regional Catholic School in Herkimer, NY.
Christine had a gift for bringing people together, often seen in her love for throwing parties and hosting gatherings that left an indelible mark on everyone she knew. Her home was always a place of warmth and welcome, echoing her generous spirit.
Christine will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Eddie Roe; her beloved son, Nicholas Ferreras; her mother, Kathleen Campisi, and her ever-faithful canine baby, Kelly. Christine was predeceased by her father, Warren Campisi, and her sister, Dianne Campisi, on January 23, 2011.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 11:00 am at St. Francis de Sales Church, 219 N. Bellinger St. Herkimer, NY 13350. Arrangements are under the direction of the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home, 100 Otsego St. in Ilion. In keeping with Christine's wishes, there will be no public calling hours.
