Oneita L. Bouchard, 94, passed away at home with her family by her side on Saturday June 13, 2015. Oneita was born April 28, 1921 the daughter of the late Damon and Rose Levigne Bluett, she was a graduate of Ilion Schools with a perfect attendance record. On March 30, 1940 she was united in marriage with William G. Bouchard he passed away May 10, 1989.
Oneita was employed at several local super markets as a cashier, meat and deli clerk, retiring from Great American in 1983. She was a life member of the V.F.W. Post 502 Auxiliary, a life member of the V.F.W. National Home For Children and an avid bowler.
Oneita is survived by two daughters Linda Roemer and her companion Richard Ulin of Mohawk and Claudette and Bruce Williams of Ilion, six grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, she is also survived by several nieces and nephews and several special friends, she also leaves her canine companion Chewie. Oneita was pre deceased by her son Gene and two brothers Ralph and Theodore.
In keeping with Oneita's wishes there will be no public calling hours or funeral service. Arrangements are with the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home, Inc., 100 Otsego St., Ilion. In Lieu of flower friends are asked to consider memorials to their favorite charity.
