Ralph E. Taylor

Ralph E. Taylor, 95, formerly of Ilion, NY passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at his residence in Ocala, Florida.
Ralph was born on September 14, 1920 in Laurens, NY, the son of the late Myron D. Taylor and Katharine A. Taylor.
He is survived by daughters Eileen McBain and Kathleen Taylor and son Robert Taylor.
Following high school, Ralph was employed at Remington Arms as a file finisher. He served in the US Navy during WWII aboard the USS Victoria stationed in the Asiatic-Pacific and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal.
Following his service, Ralph owned the Ralph E. Taylor Insurance Agency where he worked until his retirement.
Ralph was a member of the Presbyterian Church and the Ilion Elks Club. He became a Master Mason in 1951 as a Brother of the Ilion Olive Branch Lodge No. 40 and in 2001 was honored with 50 years of dedication to the Masonic Fraternity. His hobbies were bowling and soccer and he enjoyed riding his motor cycle and driving cross country to visit family.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 2 pm with Rev. Ruth Kuo officiating.
Friends may call from noon - 2 p.m.
Interment with military honors will be in the spring at the Laurens Cemetery in Laurens, NY.
