Rebecca "Becky" Dygert 54 of 345 Depot Road, West Winfield passed away on Wednesday January 9, 2013 at St. Elizabeth's, Medical Center, Utica.
Becky was born July 25, 1958 in Ilion, the daughter of Esther Tucker Rickard and the late Richard Rickard, and received her education in the Mohawk Central School and De Paul School of Nursing where she received her RN.
On June 26, 1978 Becky was united in marriage to Gary Dygert, he has predeceased her.
Becky was employed as a RN with various hospitals, as well as with the Madison County Dept. of Corrections for several years.
She also taught at various time in a private elementary school, and with the BOCES Nursing Program.
She had also worked in medical bill review and at ACS in Utica, NY.
Becky is survived by her children David and Jackie Dygert
of Phoenix, NY , Brian Dygert
of Rome, Heather and her husband Jason West of Ilion, her brothers Glenn and Missy Rickard of Williamstown , W VA, and Steven Rickard of Port St Lucie, Fl, her sisters Shelly and Bryan Smith of Mohawk, and Kathie and Sam Bianchi of Mohawk.
She also leaves 10 grand children Tyler, Brienna and Garrett West, Sage, Vincent, Donovan, Haley, Erika, McKayla and Alexis Dygert.
She is also survived by her husband's mother Helen Dygert of Moira, NY, and his 4 brothers and 2 sisters and their spouses.
She also leaves many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In keeping with Becky's wishes there are no public calling hours.
A memorial service will be scheduled in the spring with a date and time to be announced. Interment will be in the Bruston Cemetery, Moira, N.Y.
Friends are asked to consider memorials to the American Heart Association in Becky's memory.
