Shirley Ann Lewis, 86, formerly of 80 E. North St. in Ilion, passed away on April 9, 2011 at Valley Health Services in Herkimer.
Shirley was born on April 4, 1925 in Troy the daughter of the late Clarence and Cora Mae (Hillegas) Babcock.
She was educated in Ilion, USC and Rochester Business Institute.
Shirley worked as a legal secretary for Atty. Jack Bergan, retiring several years ago.
On June 24, 1950 Shirley married Robert J. Lewis in Ilion, Bob passed away on August 1, 1987.
Shirley is survived by her daughter Carol Lewis of Oakland Ca.
In keeping with Shirley's wishes there are no calling hours.
A graveside service will be at a date and time to be announced.
Arrangements are with the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc. 100 Otsego St. in Ilion.
