Shirley Jean (Daly) Springer
Shirley Jean Daly was born on April 11, 1928 in Little Falls, NY the daughter of John Lawrence Daly and Loretta Skinner Daly.
She married Edward J. "Art" Springer on July 17, 1954.
After her husband's death on April 15, 1964 she moved with her family to Ilion, NY, her home since then.
Surviving Shirley are two sons, four daughters and their spouses: Christopher and Janice Springer, Lawrence and Donna Springer, Cathleen and Paul Bulinski, Susan and John Nicotera, Anne Marie and Robert Pashley, and Mary Beth and Robert Dodge.
Also surviving Shirley are 12 grand children, two step grand children, seven great grand children, her brother John F. Daly and his wife Helen, sister Judith Ropeter and her husband Donald, a brother in law Robert Welpe and sister in law Eleanor Wilson.
Several nieces, nephews, and cousins survive her as well as her closest friends of over 55 years Winona and Walter Greer and family, special friends Doreen and Eric Massey and her special angel Sister Sharon Boyd .
Sadly predeceasing Shirley were her youngest son David "Hector" Springer, and her sister Marilyn Welpe.
It is Shirley's expressed wish that a private service for only her immediate family will be held at their convenience.
If anyone wishes to express their sympathy "saying Hello and smiling at someone who might be lonely" or perform an act of kindness for someone.
Arrangements are with the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc. 100 Otsego Street Ilion.
