Steven Maley "Boss", 53, of Ilion, passed away on Friday July 31, 2015 at home, after a brief illness, with his family by his side.
Steve was born on August 24, 1961 in Canton, NY.
He was the son of George and Barbara (Willse) Maley.
He attended Watertown Schools and was a graduate of Ilion High School.
Steve was a master jeweler for over 34 years and owned and operated Steve's Custom Jewelry in Ilion.
He was also the President of the Highwaymen Motorcycle Club, Bridge Street.
On June 5, 1982 Steve married the love of his life and best friend Kim (Steele) in East Herkimer.
Steve is survived by his wife Kim; a son Tyler and his wife Sara; two grandchildren Mason and Jaxson; his parents George and Barb; a brother Lee and his wife Kim all of Ilion; three sisters, Lynn and her husband Ted Mowers of Ilion; Jan and her husband David Heap of Herkimer and Lois Holden of Little York Lake, NY; his in laws John and Joyce Steele of Ilion; along with nieces and nephews. His extended family included his Highwaymen brothers. He was predeceased by his best canine friend and co-worker, Lady, and his brother-in-law Scott Holden.
Funeral services for Steve will be held on Monday August 3, 2015 a 7pm at the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc. 100 Otsego St. in Ilion.
Friends may call on Monday from 4 pm until the time of the service and are asked to please consider memorial donations to his grandchildren's college fund, in lieu of flowers.
