Ilion - Mrs. Susan B. Stewart, 70, of Ilion, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2024, at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown with her loving family by her side.
Susan was born on May 30, 1954, a daughter of the late Leon and Virginia Barse Nabinger. She was a graduate of Owen D. Young School. She was married to Barry L. Stewart in Little Falls, and they built a life of love and cherished memories. Susan was employed as a Cashier at Price Chopper in Richfield Springs for several years until her retirement due to illness just last year.
An avid Food Network viewer, Susan had a passion for cooking, delighting her family and friends with her culinary creations. She was known for her kind heart and generosity, always putting others first and offering her support whenever it was needed.
Susan is survived by her beloved husband, Barry Stewart of Ilion; one daughter, Sam Marquissee and three sons, David Hoke, Scott Hoke and his wife, Kelly, and Jeremy Hoke. She will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
In keeping with Susan's wishes, there will be no public services. Arrangements are under the direction of the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home, 100 Otsego St. Ilion, NY 13357.
