Theodore Francis 'Ted' Molling

Theodore "Ted" Molling, 75, passed away, Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. Ted was born October 3, 1941 in Utica the son of the late Theodore and Helen Dempsey Molling and was a graduate of U.F.A. and the Syracuse Barber School. He was a proud veteran of the NAVY having served on the USS Saratoga. On August 24, 1968 he was united in marriage with Prudy Costanzo in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort with Fr. Michael Fufford officiating.
Ted owned and operated the Delux Barber Shop in Ilion for 50 years, he was a member of Our Lady Queen of Apostles, Frankfort, the Ilion American Legion 920 and was past President of the Barber's Union. Ted loved swimming, shoveling snow and especially traveling with Prudy.
Ted is survived by his wife, a daughter and son in law Tina and Michael Bumbolo of Canastota, three grandchildren Jackson and Cooper Bumbolo of Canastota and Anthony Molling of N.Y.C. He is also survived by his sister Joyce Chrystle of Delaware, OH. 3 aunts and a uncle Doris Acker of San Antonio, TX, Martha Diliberto, Joe and Nancy Diliberto and a special cousin Richard Diliberto, also two nieces a nephew and three great nephews. Ted was predeceased by his beloved son Theodore 11, his mother and father in law Fortunato and Concettia Costanzo and his Aunt Grace Bono.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Monday, April 3, 2017 at Our Lady Queen of Apostles with Fr. Paul Catina and Fr. Leo Potvin officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery Frankfort. Friends may call Sunday, April 2, 2017 from 4-7 PM at the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home, Inc., 100 Otsego St., Ilion.
Friends are asked to consider memorials in Ted's memory to Christin Christison for M.S. Treatment, in care of Tina Bumbolo, 205 S. Frankfort St., Frankfort, NY 13340. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
