Theresa H. Waite, 86 of Ilion passed away on Monday April 1, 2013 at Mohawk Valley Health Care in Ilion.
Theresa was born on December 28, 1926 at her family home in North Ilion; the daughter of the late James C. and Elizabeth (Sheehy) Mackin. She was a graduate of Ilion schools and New York State Institute for Home Economics in Cobleskill.
Theresa worked for a time as a dietitian at St. Luke's then as a florist at Schesch Florist in Ilion until her retirement.
On October 20 1951 Theresa was united in marriage to Harold Waite in Ilion.
Theresa was a member of the Church of The Annunciation in Ilion and served on the Parish Council.
She was also a member of the Mothers Club.
Theresa is survived by her husband Harold of Ilion; six sons Larry of Albany, Tom and his wife Liane of Everett WA, Patrick and his wife Carol of Fulton, Raymond of Ballston Lake, Steven and his wife Michelle of Ilion and Kenneth and his wife Tanya of Newbury FL.
She also leaves her twelve grandchildren.
She is pre deceased by her four brothers Tom, Jim, John and Leo and her four sisters Anne Mackin, Sr. Mary Ruth, Frances Kocyba and Gertrude Mackin.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday April 4, 2012 at 10am at the Church of The Annunciation in Ilion; Fr. Leo Potvin will officiate assisted by Deacon James Bower. Interment will be in the St. Agnes Cemetery in N. Ilion.
Friends may call on Wednesday April 3, 2013 from 6-8pm at the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc. 100 Otsego St. in Ilion.
