Timothy A. Laymon, 54, of 249 South Main Street, passed away on Thursday March 31, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Utica.
Tim was born on October 4, 1961 in Ilion the son of the late Daniel and Eltha Hodge Laymon, and was a 1980 graduate of Ilion High School.
Tim was, at one time, employed with Union Fork and Hoe and later as a stock clerk with Walmart in Herkimer. Tim was an avid bowler and golfer, and was a daily supporter of "Denny's Coffee Group".
Tim is survived by three brothers and sisters in laws Jerry and Elizabeth Laymon of Ilion, William and Phyllis Laymon of Malone and Larry and Rebecca Laymon of Ilion, two sisters Jean Haggerty and Donna Crim both of Herkimer, his brother in law Ronald Young of Herkimer and an aunt Edna Mitchell of Clinton, also several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Tim was predeceased by two brothers Daniel (Butch) and Frank Laymon and 2 sisters Norma Young and Nancy Laymon.
Friends are invited to attend calling hours for Tim to be held on Thursday April 7, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc. 100 Otsego Street, Ilion. Tim's memorial service will be at 7:00pm following calling hours with Sister Mary Jo Tallman officiating. Interment in Armory Hill Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.
