Virginia V. Griffith, 91, of Brook St. in Ilion passed away on Sunday August 4, 2013 at The Pines in Utica.
Virginia was born on August 18, 1921 in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of the late Ralph and Matilda (Trokan) Lamb; she was a graduate of Little Falls Schools and on January 20, 1951 Virginia married LeRoy Griffith in Little Falls; he passed away on December 10, 1981.
Virginia is survived by her son Mike and his girlfriend Jennifer Mitchell; two daughters Elizabeth Griffith of Chadwicks and Evelyn and her husband Robert Moore of Durham, NH; seven grandchildren Thomas and Evelyn Lester, Sarah DeRocco, Kristen Moore, Katherine Moore, Brandon and Brianne Griffith; six great grandchildren Christopher and Quinn Cotsifas, Joselyn and Joseph DeRocco, Charlotte and Chelsea Lester.
She is pre deceased by two brothers, Ralph and Gordon and two sisters Evelyn Lamb and Doris Stephens.
Funeral services for Virginia will be held on 11:00 AM Thursday, August 8, 2013 at the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc. 100 Otsego St. in Ilion; Rev. Robert Wollaber will officiate.
Interment will follow in the North Columbia Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday August 7, 2013 from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
