Volney Becker, 94, passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Valley Health Services. He was born December 24, 1923 in Herkimer and was educated in
local schools.
Mr. Becker was a Army veteran of WW11 and was married to the former Marie Renodin. He was employed with UNIVAC and Utica Mutual as a security guard until his retirement.
Volney is survived by his wife Marie. He was predeceased by his parents and a sister in law and brother in law Marion and Richard Morton.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 1:00 PM from the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home, Inc. 100 Otsego St. Ilion with Rev. Nelson Stafford officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Herkimer with Military Honors. Friend may call at the funeral home from 12:00 until the time of the service.
