William 'Bill' Baylis

William F. Baylis, 68 of Mohawk entered into heavenly rest on Wednesday December 26, 2012.
He was born in Mohawk on November 17, 1944 a son of the late Marshall and Pauline Baylis.
Bill grew up in Mohawk and graduated from Mohawk Central School and Mohawk Valley Community College.
He worked as a corporate executive managing multi-million dollar accounts in New Mexico and Texas, before retiring back here at home in the valley.
Bill was a sportsman, Yankees fan, avid card player, (AAA88) and loved watching westerns. Bill is a practicing Catholic and his faith kept him during his time of illness.
Bill is survived by his five children and their families whom he held dear; Sherry of Ilion, Marsha and William B. (Billy) of Mohawk, Rachel of AZ, and Michele of Sloansville.
His three beloved grandchildren; April, Ian, and Makynzie and one soon to be born grandchild.
Bill is also survived by his two sisters and their families; Paula and Denise (Denny).
Bill also leaves behind many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, neighbors, friends, doctors, nurses, appointment setters, business and computer associates from around the world. He was predeceased by his only brother Robert of Maryland, NY
Friends may call on Friday December 28, 2012 from 6-8pm at the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc. 100 Otsego St. in Ilion, a brief prayer service will be held at 8pm. A memorial graveside service will be held in the spring at Calvary Cemetery in Herkimer.
In lieu of flower friends are asked to consider memorial donations to the Blessed Sacrament Church in Mohawk, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
