William Donald Yaw

William D. Yaw, 82 of Ilion passed away on Wednesday November 18, 2015 at Faxton-St. Luke's Health Care in New Hartford.
Bill was born on March 2, 1933 in W. Winfield; the son of the late Donald B. and Charlotte E. (MacHeffy) Yaw.
He was a graduate of W. Winfield Schools and SUNY Morrisville and worked as a Test Technician at GE, retiring in 1988.
On March 19, 1982, he married the former Rosemary Hall in Ilion.
Bill is survived by his wife Rosemary; two sons William and his wife Carrie of Schuyler Lake and Christopher and his wife Bridget of Malone; three daughters Sueann and her husband Gary Horner of NC, Beth and her husband Randy Gage of Mohawk, Lindsay and her husband Charles Flihan of Ilion; a step daughter Tisha Windover of NC; three sisters Jane Donelan of FL, Dorothy and her husband Murrel Burke of E. Winfield and Marge and her husband Robert Pett of Ilion.
He is predeceased by his sisters JoAnn Decker, Elizabeth Mosher and his brother Clio Yaw.
A memorial service for Bill will be held on Monday November 30, 2015 at 7pm at the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc. 100 Otsego St. in Ilion; Rev. Robert Wollaber will officiate.
